The National World War I Museum is not only a great learning opportunity, but also a fun location to snap some cool photos of the Kansas City skyline, or nice shots with friends. Warning: do NOT sit on the ledge if you do not want a security guard yelling at you over the speakers.

West Bottoms

The West Bottoms is by far my favorite place to take photos. The West Bottoms is an industrial area immediately to the west of downtown Kansas City, Missouri, at the confluence of the Missouri River and the Kansas River. This area is one of the oldest areas of the city, making it a perfect spot to conduct all types of photo shoots. It’s no surprise to see several photographers in the area doing engagement photos, senior pictures, or even searching for the perfect Instagram worthy background.
